How to play it

• Develop with …Bc5, …Ng4, and …Qh4 ideas — f2 is the target and every natural White move steps on a mine.
• The traps ARE the opening: …Nxe4 sacrifices, …Bxf2+ deflections, …Qd4 double attacks — learn the top five and blitz opponents evaporate.
• Play it in fast time controls; in slow games, accurate defense keeps the pawn.

How opponents will fight back

• The antidote is public: 5. d3! then Be2, Nd2, h3, c3 — deny every trick and the extra pawn simply wins.
• Never play the natural 5. e5? or early Bg5 — those are the exact squares the minefield covers.
• Trade pieces relentlessly: each swap is a shovel of dirt on the gambit's grave.
