GRANDMASTER GAINS asks for one thing: a player name you choose, protected by a password you choose (we store only a cryptographic hash of the password, never the password itself). Alongside your player name we keep your in-game activity: wins and losses, lesson progress, puzzle scores, achievements, and moves played in games. We do not ask for, and do not collect, your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or advertising identifiers. There are no ads, no analytics trackers, and no third-party marketing tools in the app, and we never sell or share player data with anyone.
In the app's standard mode, everything above is stored only on your own device and never leaves it; deleting the app deletes the data. If the app is running in online mode (used for live games and coach approvals), the same information is stored in our database hosted on Google Firebase, which processes it on our behalf under Google's security and privacy commitments. In both modes, the game's administrator (for example, your chess coach) can see player names, activity, and fair-play statistics inside the app in order to run lessons and matches.
GRANDMASTER GAINS is designed to be safe for young players: no ads, no open chat with strangers, no collection of personal information beyond a chosen player name, and every account must be approved by the administrator before it can play. If you are a parent or guardian and would like your child's account and its data removed, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You can stop using the app at any time; in on-device mode, uninstalling removes your data. To have an online account and its data deleted, or to ask any question about this policy, contact: grandmastergainschess@gmail.com. If this policy ever changes, the effective date above will be updated and the current version will always be available at this address.
