By downloading, installing, or using Grandmaster Gains ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms form the End User License Agreement between you and Grandmaster Gains.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App or its lessons, puzzles, or content.
The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases:
Subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if one applies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and duration unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings after purchase. If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy; Grandmaster Gains cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
The App can be used free of charge with daily limits. Paid tiers remove limits and unlock additional features. Free use may include optional rewarded advertisements; paid tiers are ad-free.
You agree not to use the App to harass other players, use external chess engines to cheat in live matches, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, or interfere with the service. Live player-vs-player features are provided as-is and depend on other players being online.
All lessons, puzzles, artwork, branding, and code in the App are owned by Grandmaster Gains. Your game history and account data belong to you, and you may delete them at any time.
The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Chess ratings, analysis, and lesson content are provided for training purposes and are not guarantees of competitive results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grandmaster Gains is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised terms.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within the App. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms.
